Supply Chain Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

The 3D printing industry is one of the most exciting and fast-growing industries in the world today and Polymaker is part of the momentum. Polymaker develops, produces and markets high value materials for 3D printing. Our company is growing fast and can be described as young, open and energetic. Polymaker has been active in the US since 2013. We have built up a network of channel partners who serve end users from all over the States. Our end users are hobbyists, professionals and industrial customers who 3D print high quality parts using our filaments. Out of our new Houston office we currently manage the sales, marketing and operations for the North America region. The Purchaser is a key role in our procurement and is responsible for sourcing and purchasing direct / indirect materials of our production and warehouse facility in North America business. He/she will require to conduct vendor evaluation, costs analysis, order expedition, and manage delivery lead time for both local and overseas. This role directly reports to Logistics Manager and works closely with other members of the production and warehouse team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting supply chain strategic analysis to determine sourcing strategy for raw materials, packaging materials and equipment
• Identifying, qualifying, and managing vendors on quality, price, lead time and terms
• Negotiating contract and purchasing materials, equipment, and machineries
• Tracking and managing intracompany transaction and logistics, communicating with supply chain counterparts in China HQ and warehouse colleagues in US office
• Create purchase orders and monitor order and delivery status
• Collaborating with US sales team to keep track of inventory and forecast
• Executing supply chain operations following MRP output

Preferred Experience Background

• Bachelor’s Degree in procurement, Logistic, Business Administration or relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement or purchasing experience in manufacturing industry.
• Understanding of supply chain processes.
• Good knowledge of sourcing and procurement.
